Flush a few tears from your eyes

Now you're too damn precious
Fragile as a glass

And if they don't then they are brash
'Cause you're taking such lengths for their approval
Safety pins nibble at your arms,
You can use 'suicide' in a sentence

So now you're simply coveted
The starring character of your own tragedy,
Though your problems don't run so deep
But nonetheless you're an IDOL
So you make sure everyone can see
'Cause, God forbid, you're an emotional creature
And what a great, great toll it is
Because we're all looking at you like you're stupid
'Cause you just called yourself the 'emo kid'

This isn't directed at anyone in particular, (or against MCR, see below), just this unhealthy, unnecessary attitude that's become so popular within this generation. It makes me feel a little sick.

I'm not sure it was supposed to be an amusing poem.
But I was amused nonetheless at a few parts, it was well-written and addresses a select few interesting points in interesting ways.
